Wheel disconnects can disconnect and reconnect a vehicle wheel from the axle shaft. They are traditionally used in left and right sets and can be on the outer or inner face of the wheels.
An axle disconnect is placed at the mid-position of an axle shaft. From there, it can connect and reconnect two portions of an axle shaft assembly.

For occasional 4WD requirements, the hub lock can be engaged and disengaged using a manual dial.
