Warn Automotive can trace its beginning back to 1948, when Arthur Warn invented the first disconnecting four-wheel-drive hub for surplus World War II vehicles. Since that time, we’ve continued to lead the industry with a history of innovation in Powertrain Disconnect technology.
Almost 75 years later, we continue to focus on developing products for OEMs around the world, enhancing the performance, traction, and capability of their vehicles while reducing fuel consumption and emissions to create a more mobile and efficient future.
Warn Automotive offers engineering services such as product design and consultation for land vehicles. We manufacture mechanical and electronic disconnects, decoupling devices, and torque transfer systems within powertrains/drivetrains that can be found on vehicles ranging from heavy trucks and pickups to SUVs and passenger cars.
Operating from our headquarters and manufacturing facility in Milwaukie, Oregon and our customer support center in Livonia, Michigan, Warn Automotive is proud to be a company of Vehicle Service Group (VSG) within the Engineered Systems segment of Dover Corporation.
Warn Automotive invented the on-road 4x4 phenomenon in 1948 and we haven’t stopped connecting cars to roads since. That's nearly 75 years of continually changing the way people drive by opening new worlds of automotive possibilities. Since that day we have been constantly re-inventing the category, always looking for ways to improve the performance and the engineering of disconnect technology. No one has more experience, and no one knows the category better than we do.
By constantly driving innovation, Warn Automotive knows the business of both today and tomorrow by innovating and working with the best in the industry. We continue to use our experience to collaborate and build trust with our partners and innovate technologically advanced solutions for OE manufacturers that help position their vehicles’ capabilities above the rest. When you need to get to what’s next, Warn Automotive can take you there!
Warn Automotive envisions a future of efficient mobility with an array of transportation options that support a combination of personal use, recreation, commerce and adventure. As vehicle populations and miles traveled increase, total energy usage will decline through improvements in efficiency. The next generation of vehicles will use a variety of power sources – from internal combustion to pure electric – and Warn Automotive products will continue to maximize the capability and efficiency of those vehicles.
